How to start off your acting career? (Step 4: Website/Sample Products)

       So it's been quite a while since I've written something, I know, but it's been a couple of months of re-grouping, re-thinking and re-building. Yet, now I'm in it and ready to take on the big stuff. I plan to finish off giving you the pointers on how to start off you career and then it's time to start talking about experiences, techniques, ideas, and maybe sometimes -- to take a break from the norm -- talk about life and emotions.  Sometimes, like I did, people can get caught up with their emotions and loose sight of what they really should be concentrating on. This especially happens to actors/actresses. WE ARE DRAMATIC. So lets get on one shall we!! ;)

Step 4: Website/Sample Products

             Website + Sample Products:
                     So your website is probably the most important part of starting your career. It's an online   resume. It's a reflection of you as an actor. We are in the future and in this future, everything is done online. So, if someone wants to look you up online, they can look up your website and catch a glimpse of the actor/actress you are.
                     More so, this is why I have decided to put together website and sample products. In your business's case, your sample products IS your DEMO REEL!! A demo reel is a reel that you will include in your website, along with some other essentials, that includes short but professionally produced videos and clips of you acting. These videos should include monologues, dialogues, movement and emotion. IT SHOULD BE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO OFFER!! So make sure your practice, practice, practice and that your scenes are well shot and edited. Afterwords, upload them on you website on a specific page, preferably titled demo reel,  like I have done so on mine:

(MY VIDEOS WILL BE UPLOADED AS SOON AS THEY'RE FINISHED BEING UPDATED, BUT YOU GET THE IDEA LOL.)

Anyway, you website should also contain the following:
        * Home Page
       - Name
       - Comp Card Pictures
       - Age
       - Height
       - Weight
       - Address (OPTIONAL)
       - Email
       - Birthplace
       - Languages Spoken
       - B.A. (and/or other)
    * Bio
    * Acting Resume
    * Headshots

   Make sure the website looks professional and organized. You want people to understand and want to look around. Make it easy but fun. Also, make it nice and attractive, so that you keep the people interested. But most of all, make it original...that way, YOU'LL BE REMEMBERED!! :)

   Next up...Final step, STEP 5: SOCIAL MEDIA. That one's quick and easy and then where well on our way to starting off the journey!!

As for now,

Happy Acting
